Privacy
This site is run by Jason Eric Siegel. It exists to publish writing and to describe ways to work together. It collects as little as it can, and this page says what that is.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare sees the technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, in order to deliver the page and block abuse. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that processing.
Analytics
Page views are counted with Plausible, a privacy-first analytics service. It uses no cookies, stores no personal data, and reports only aggregate numbers such as how many people read a page and which site sent them. Your IP address is not stored. Plausible's data policy explains how it works.
To exclude a device from those counts, open jasoneric.com/ignore. A small ghost then appears at the bottom right of every page on that device.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, and only if you visit the exclusion page above. It records that the device is excluded from analytics, holds no identifier, and expires after a year. There are no advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies.
If you write to hello@jasoneric.com, your message is handled in Google Workspace and used only to reply to you.
Changes
This notice is updated whenever the site changes what it collects. A newsletter and its signup form are planned and will be described here before they go live.
Effective September 2026.
